if we take the bible at face value we are confronted with a serious problem.
how do we know when god is telling us the facts and when is he just telling us something he thinks we are capable of understanding?
this is not quite the same as the argument that god lies on occasion.
I had an idea....what if Jehovah is "a work in progress" like the rest of us? What if he is going thru a learning process..just like us..and he does feel regret sometimes...??
Thinking also that at the end of the tribulation..what if people just die spiritually? But God let's them finishing living their lives out..like he did with Adam and Eve.?

They believe it because in 1914, Russells teaching were such a refreshment after the years of apostasy of the Catholic church...saint worship, Mary worship, penance, Hellfire, trinity...etc. In contrast it was really good. Too bad, they got power-hungry and self righteous...and smug.

he makes a very convincing argument that to me proves the bible verses that make women less human was not in the originals.. paul called women by name some of the women were taking the lead at romans 16: 3-16 in verse 3 say fellow worker prisca (woman).
then verse 7 junias (woman) this is interesting some bibles including the new world translation then says who are men or kinsmen this is not found at all in the older manuscripts so the new world translation and any other translation is in error.

(Note the next scripture, how Paul show abhorence for these ideas)" What? Was it from YOU that the word of God came forth, or was it only as far as YOU that reached." (Paul is saying, Are you making up your own rules, or ignoring God's law)
So Paul was stating the error of the congregations about there attitute about women. He wasn't stating it as the way women should be treated.
aaack.... my oldest (almost 6) is pretty sick guys.. took her to the doc the other day to find out she has pneumonia.
she is absolutely miserable.. the doc put her on zithromax and gave her some cough syrup (w/ codeine) to help her rest.. hubby and i doing our best at not getting sick.

Hello Honesty.
I would say, some are, some aren't. I've been thinking when Jesus came to the earth, that God would have put the genes of Joseph and Mary in him...God wouldn't want Joseph and Mary to think of him as less that their son. Would he? Also to be legal and keep his promise to Abraham, Jesus would have to have the seed of Abraham on both his father and mother's side. Both genetic linage is written, one in Math. 1 and the other in Luke 3:24.
Also the WT always says he was perfect genetically. But I'm saying, How could he not be in the fallen flesh...geesh....he'd never get a cold...and he would stand out as someone really different from the other brothers and sisters. And he didn't stand out as different...They couldn't even believe it when he was first implying he was the messiah....They said he was crazy or had a demon. He stood out as different after his baptism in 30AD.
These are 2 ways I'm thinking of.. they are wrong but there are more.

i was just wondering how revelations makes no sense (coupled with jw doctrine).
if armageddon/gt is the worst of all times why are those who are alive at the time subject to a possible eternal death if they fail?
millions of people in the past who have died will not have to "tempted" with the gt so how fair is it for a group of people who just happened to be within that generation.

As witness we are taught that it is a "moment" that Christ will come and annialate the wicked...But what if........the great tribulation is stretched out for several years in order to give everyone every possible chance to go to the right side? That's the way, I believe is how it is........This instantaneous thing is bunk in my book. Also we don't know that Jesus or God would come and kill people...maybe they'll be able to finish living their life out, like Adam and Eve, during the thousand years....God didn't kill Adam and Eve right away but let them live their life out...
